Latinologues ‘ Rick Najera Pens Sweet 15 (Quinceañera) for San Diego Rep

“The San Diego Repertory Theatre will present the world premiere musical Sweet 15 (Quinceañera) by Latinologues author and performer Rick Najera.

Najera’s work, according to press notes, “welcomes [audiences] into the home of the Valderama family, as they prepare to celebrate their daughter’s 15th birthday – ten years too late! Set in National City, their story begins when the patriarch of the family, Eduardo, returns home from Mexico after a ten-year absence that began when his daughter Sonora turned 15. He promises to re-unite his estranged family under one condition – that they allow him throw a Quinceañara for his daughter, who is now 25 years old.”"*
