The business-dominated group studying the law also is worried about frivolous complaints from competitors or disgruntled employers. There’s concern a business could be targeted just because its workers speak Spanish.
“I would hate to think that, in our state, that someone could just file a complaint on somebody because they’re Hispanic or some other nationality, or because they’re speaking Spanish,” said attorney Richard Bark.”*
