“Stanford University announced Wednesday that history professor Albert Camarillo will receive the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley’s highest honor, the La Familia Award, for his family’s volunteer work at a ceremony later this month.

For more than a decade, the Camarillo family has worked with Shelter Network, a Peninsula nonprofit that provides housing and support services to the homeless.”
