Posted on: October 4th, 2007“The band set a record last month by becoming the first Latin music group to sell out four consecutive nights at the Staples Center in Los Angeles (a feat previously only accomplished by Mr. “Forever in Blue Jeans” himself, Neil Diamond). Mana racked up another milestone when its latest disc, “Amar Es Combatir” (Warner Latina), bowed at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, the highest-ever debut for a Latin music group on the U.S. pop charts. The disc went on to receive this year’s best Latin rock Grammy.
After selling out two dates in March at the Allstate Arena, Mana makes a return appearance tonight. We caught up with co-leaders Fher Olvera (vocals, guitar) and Alex Gonzalez (drums) in between tour stops:”
