Ed Romero named Astros’ third-base coach
Tagged: Houston, TexasPosted on: October 3rd, 2007“Cecil Cooper’s coaching staff was completed on Wednesday with the announcement that Ed Romero was named the Astros’ third-base coach. Romero replaces Doug Mansolino, who was informed on Sunday that he would not be invited to return to the club in ’08.
Romero and Cooper have a history together as both teammates and co-workers. The two played together for the Brewers in 1977 and again from 1980-85, and they reunited when their playing careers were finished when both rejoined Milwaukee’s player development system in coaching capacities.”
