Univision Announces Promotion of Cesar Conde to Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer

Communications Inc., the leading media company in the United States, announced today that Cesar Conde has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer, effective immediately. Conde will report to Joe Uva, Chief Executive Officer of .

In this position, Conde will work closely with the CEO and the management team to identify new strategic growth opportunities for the Company while continuing to implement ’s corporate priorities. He will work to identify new business initiatives and alternative revenue streams across the Company’s , and internet platforms and coordinate with all units in support of these new efforts. In addition, he will have direct oversight of ’s Community Affairs, Government Relations, and Corporate Business Development teams.

Conde most recently served as the Special Assistant to Joe Uva, Chief Executive Officer of . Prior to this position, Conde served as the Vice President and Operating Manager of the Galavisión Network, where he was responsible for all of its functions, including programming, promotions, operations, talent relations and original productions. Conde has also served as the Vice President of Corporate Development for the three Networks, and as Vice President of Business Development at the Network.

Aside from his tenure with , Conde was one of twelve 2002-2003 White House Fellows appointed by President George W. Bush. In that capacity, he served as the White House Fellow for Secretary of State Colin L. Powell. Before joining , Conde was Vice President of Business Development at StarMedia Network, the first internet company focused on Spanish and Portuguese-speaking audiences globally. Prior to StarMedia, he was an investment banker in the mergers and acquisitions group at Salomon Smith Barney.

He holds a B.A. with honors from Harvard University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations and a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute. Additionally, Conde is very active in the development of educational opportunities for the Hispanic community. He is the Chairman and Co-Founder of the Futuro Program, a organization that provides role models and educational workshops to Hispanic high school students.
