“This week NY1 recognizes the many hardworking Latino immigrants that have come to the city to support their families back home. Brooklyn reporter Jeanine Ramirez begins our Hispanic Heritage Week with this report.
Anastacio Mauro says he had nothing, and that’s what began his dream of coming to the United States.
He grew up in a shack in Puebla, Mexico. After having two children – Jonathon and Luis Ivan – Mauro wanted to offer them a better future.
