“The First Annual Digital and Print Media Conference, organized by Portada (www.portada-online.com) and LatinVision (www.latinvision.com) is fast approaching! The event will be held on October 11 at the City University of New York (BMCC, Richard Harris Terrace, 199 Chambers Street, New York, NY 10007) in downtown Manhattan. Get directions here.

Delivering the keynote presentation will be Marsha Lawrence, Best Buy’s Senior Manager of Strategy and Analytics. She’ll discuss the Client’s Perspective: Combining Print and Online media.

The event will feature a Media Buyer Panel examining what media buyers would like to see more of in 2008, shedding light on how digital and print media can be better sold. Participants will include: John Santiago, Co-CEO of Media 8; Liliana Gil, Director of Marketing Services, Johnson & Johnson; Jose Cruz, Manager of Client Services for Multicultural Metro Newspaper Advertising Services; Ilia Leon, VP/Director of Zenith Optimedia Multicultural, Traci Dinkins; VP Media Director, General Motors Planworks. Conference attendees will learn how major media properties are combining print and digital media to offer Advertisers integrated ad sales packages. Erich Linker, SVP National Advertising Sales, Impremedia, Jacqueline Hernandez Fallous, Publisher People en Espanol and Michelle Azan, Director of Sales Terra Networks will present case studies about how best to combine print and online media.

Finally, Jay Garcia, Managing Partner of Discovery Capital Investment, and David Perez, CEO of LatinForce will examine the role of private equity in the development of Hispanic Digital and Print media.
