“Long Island’s Hispanic business community is about to get its own incubator.
Business incubators are nothing new on Long Island. Tech and other sectors have long enjoyed such facilities, wherein startup businesses get a leg up on life by paying lower rents, coexisting in common spaces and sharing community costs. Now, with the help of a $500,000 grant from the Empire State Development Corp., the Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is looking to create an incubator exclusively for Hispanic-owned businesses.”
