U.S. Rep. Solomon P. Ortiz seeks re-election

“U.S. Rep. Solomon P. Ortiz announced at a Saturday breakfast in Robstown with about 50 staff and supporters that he’s seeking re-election for the position he’s held since 1983.

“You were the first ones to give me the opportunity to serve,” Ortiz said. “I’m here because of the people of this 27th Congressional District. Gracias … I work for you.”"
