“Following Thursday’s raid on 11 McDonald’s restaurants in the Reno area, an usually high number of students called in sick today at schools that have high Hispanic enrollments, a Washoe County School District spokesman said.
Washoe County School District spokesman Steve Mulvenon said Echo Loder Elementary School reported the highest absenteeism of 80 students.
“We had a lot of calls saying kids were sick in selected locations, as you would guess,” he said. “
