Eddie Garcia of Comcast Named One of The Bay Area’s Influential and Inspirational Latino Leaders

“Today, the San Francisco of Commerce and the San Francisco Business Journal honored Comcast’s Eddie Garcia as one of the top Latino Leaders in the Bay Area.

Garcia was recognized for his leadership skills both within the community and his company. At Comcast, the Bay Area’s leading provider of cable, entertainment and communications products and services, Garcia serves on the senior management team as Vice President of Government Affairs.

“Eddie is an innovative executive, an inspirational leader and influential role model,” stated Karen Munro, Comcast’s Regional Vice President, for Government Affairs. “Taking it upon himself to personally mentor and motivate employees to become involved in the community.”

A native Californian, Eddie has devoted his life to public service. From working on campaigns and with prominent elected officials to serving on numerous community impacting boards and committees-City Year, Silicon Valley; Mexican Heritage Plaza; San Francisco 49ers; and Sports Authority.

“As a friend, I have personally witnessed Eddie’s steadfast commitment to ensure that our youth have the support and resources to succeed,” stated Assemblyman Joe Coto, Chairman of the California State Legislative Latino Caucus. “His dedication is unwavering; he personally dedicates his time and talent to youth, whether it is coaching at the local high school or as the Trustee of the East Side Union High School District.”
