“A scandal over doctors obtaining medical licenses through fraud took a deadly turn when one of the suspects was accused in a lawsuit of misdiagnosing an infant who died of dengue fever.
Dr. Richard Pietri Sepulveda, one of 88 doctors indicted last month in a federal probe of fake medical credentials, misdiagnosed 14-month-old Yadriel Yadid Gonzalez Baez in September 2006, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday by his parents.”
