Law Meant To Be Tough On Illegal Immigrants Also Hindering North Carolina Citizens

“”The new law calls for someone coming to register their vehicle either to have a Carolina driver’s license or a North Carolina ID,” said DMV Manager Donna Mancus.

The new law went into effect September 15. It was originally created to make it tougher for illegal immigrants using foreign ID’s to register cars.
