“The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has been sending out a little extra work to millions of Americans this month… The EEOC is the government agency that investigates claims of workplace discrimination — to help do that, every year the EEOC sends out surveys on race and ethnicity.
And this time around, there’s something new: After 40 years, the box that used to say simply “Hispanic” has been changed to “Hispanic or Latino.”
