“The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality have selected the Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Rural Public Health for a new Hispanic Aging Initiative.

This makes the Lower Rio Grande Valley only one of eight sites in the United States selected for this Hispanic elderly effort. The goal is to address the disparity in health care for older Hispanics compared to other groups.”
