“The Nielsen Company and MTV Tr3s today announced that they have reached an agreement to report program ratings in Nielsen’s U.S. Hispanic broadcast service, known as the Nielsen Television Index Hispanic (NTIH) Service. This is the first time that MTV Tr3s’ ratings have been externally reported. The agreement is effective October 1, 2007.
MTV Tr3s is a bilingual television network carried via both a dual feed cable network and a list of broadcast stations across the country, delivering coverage of more than 51% of US Hispanic TV households. Because it is a broadcast network with less than 70% coverage of Hispanic TV households, it will be categorized as a “limited coverage Spanish Language network.”"
