Eva’s Heroes, founded by actress Eva Longoria, will be holding the first ever Eva’s Heroes Celebrity Golf Tournament to benefit the non-profit organization.

Eva’s Heroes is dedicated to enhancing the lives of developmentally challenged children and young adults.

A number of celebrities will be on hand to play golf and mingle, including comedian George Lopez, Eva Longoria’s co-star on Desperate Housewives, Ricardo Antonio Chavira and Dancing with the Stars sensation, Mario Lopez. Joining them will be some of the NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs, including Tony Parker. Other guests include former Spurs player Sean Elliott, however, the real “stars” of the day are the children and young adults who will be there to thank guests for helping build and expand the unique programs and offerings of the Eva’s Heroes Enrichment Centers, the first of which will begin operations this Fall.

“This cause is very dear to my heart. Thanks to the generosity of my celebrity friends, corporate sponsors and the many golf participants, we will be able to achieve our goal of building and expanding the Eva’s Heroes Enrichment Centers,” said Eva Longoria, founder of Eva’s Heroes.

The golf tournament is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the Palmer Golf Course at La Cantera Resort, nestled in the Texas Hill Country, just outside San Antonio. A Red Carpet Media Event will be held at 10:00 a.m.

Eva’s Heroes was founded by actress Eva Longoria and is based in San Antonio, TX. The organization is dedicated to enriching the lives of those with developmental challenges by providing an inclusive setting built on four tenets: interact, play, grow and love.
