After giving fans an early taste of a few new tracks at special summer appearances that saw the band fill the Hollywood Bowl and New York’s Central Park Summerstage to capacity and become the first-ever Latin act to headline at Lollapalooza, CAFí‰ TACVBA are about to return with a full arsenal of new music and extensive tour dates. The most critically-hailed Latin Alternative band in the world, Café Tacvba’s last album of original material garnered End-of-Year Top 10 placements from Rolling Stone, The New York Times, Blender and more. Now, the October 9th release of SINO (Café Tacvba’s first new studio release in four years) finds the innovative quartet adding a noticeably increased dose of Rock guitar to their distinctive sound as they co-produce with Tony Peluso and double Oscar-winner Gustavo Santaolalla. Leading the way for the album is the epic length first single “Volver a Comenzar” (To Begin Again), with a video filmed in Mexico City and directed by Angel Flores, set to premiere today on Latin video outlets worldwide.
Following the release of SINO, Café Tacvba will return to concert stages across the United States for a month-long/22 date tour that will begin on November 16th. Tickets for the large majority of these dates will go on-sale this coming Friday, September 26th (check with local venues listed below for details).
