“A pair of Mexican nursing programs that the state may contract with to train a group of California nurses exceed the class hour requirements of nursing programs at some California community colleges, a state consultant said yesterday.

Universidad de and Universidad Autónoma de dispel the “misconception that nursing programs in Latin American countries are somehow prehistoric,” said JesÚs Oliva, who is helping to develop the outsourcing training program for the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency. “They have the same equipment. They have the same medicines.””
