Knowledge is Power!
“Pappas Telecasting Companies announced late Thursday it had debuted TuVision, its new Spanish-language TV network on five of its stations, following a soft launch of the net July 1. TuVision, which means “Your Vision,” replaced the underperforming Azteca America programming on KAZH-TV in Houston; KTNC-TV serving the San Francisco and Sacramento markets; KAZR in Reno, Nev.; KAZO in Omaha, Neb.; and KAZJ in Sioux City, Iowa.
By the end of 2007, Pappas expects to clear the network on an additional 15 stations. KAZA-TV, which currently clears Azteca America, will carry TuVision when its contract ends with Azteca in 2008. Including the planned addition of network affiliates, the new network will cover nearly 40 percent of the U.S. Hispanic population.”
