Orlando Magic Name Linda Landman-Gonzalez Vice President of Community Relations & Government Affairs

“Linda Landman-Gonzalez, who has served as Darden Restaurants’ Director of Diversity and Community Affairs for the past nine years, has been named the Orlando Magic’s Vice President of Community Relations and Government Affairs, Alex Martins, Chief Operating Officer, announced today.

Landman-Gonzalez will oversee community relations, government affairs and Latin affairs for the Magic, while also managing the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation.

“Linda brings great experience and enthusiasm in regard to building community partnerships,” said Martins. “She has strong local relationships and a great deal of personal pride for the Central Florida community. We are excited to have her as part of the Orlando Magic leadership team.”

At Darden, Landman-Gonzalez focused on creating community partnerships, employee volunteer opportunities and leadership development in 10 top markets nationwide, including Orlando. She also managed corporate giving, while developing a second language translation team for the corporation.

Landman-Gonzalez’s efforts resulted in many corporate awards for Darden, Inc., including: Fortune’s Top Ten Diversity Elite, Black Enterprise’s list for Best Companies of Diversity and Hispanic Business magazine’s Best Place For Hispanics to Work.

Prior to joining Darden, Inc., Landman-Gonzalez served as Vice President of Hispanic Sales and Marketing for Barnett Bank in Orlando

She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico in 1972.

Landman-Gonzalez is currently involved in several local volunteer and leadership activities, including: Work Force Florida, Orlando Ballet, Valencia Community College Foundation, Metropolitan YMCA, Hispanic Business Initiative Fund, Casa de Mexico, Florida State Conference NAACP Corporate Advisory Board, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Compact Program of Orange County.

Landman-Gonzalez resides in Orlando with her husband Roberto. “
