“A Spanish edition of Esquire hit newsstands Thursday as the venerable American men’s magazine that prides itself on a thinking, cosmopolitan readership started reaching out in a language spoken by 400 million people.

Gracing the black-and-white cover is someone who could not look less Spanish, Latino or glitzy, even in an Anglo way _ Woody Allen. Esquire says that’s the point. This men’s mag breaks with competitors on the Spanish market and what Esquire sees as their twin obsessions: sex and things to spend money on, like cars and gadgets.”
