DIRECTV, Inc., provider of the nation’s leading satellite television service, has added WTPH-14, Azteca America, to the Southwest Florida (Fort Myers/Naples) local broadcast channel lineup. With the launch of Southwest Florida, DIRECTV now offers Azteca America in 25 markets, representing more than 70 percent of U.S. Hispanic TV households.
DIRECTV Mas customers in Southwest Florida who subscribe to the local channel package will now be able to watch all of Azteca America’s Spanish-language programming, which includes Mexican professional first division soccer, Ventaneando with Pati Chapoy, movies, newscasts from Mexico, popular novelas, and a full schedule of entertainment programming. In addition to national programming, DIRECTV Mas subscribers will be able to view WTPH-14 local programming, which includes D’Latinos al Dia.
To receive local channels, DIRECTV customers can subscribe to DIRECTV Mas BASICO(TM) for $29.99 or CHOICE for $49.99 a month.
