“It was the party of the year when the Santa Clarita Hispanic Business Committee hosted the 4th Annual Excelencia Gala for about 500 well-dressed business people at the Hyatt Valencia Sept. 7.
The theme was “Pearls of Wisdom,” and were plenty of those in the room. The main focus was to recognize leaders in the business community who encourage diversity and present scholarships to six high-achieving Hispanic students from local high schools.
Event Sponsor, Chiquita Canyon Land Fill, was pleased to support the HBC with its scholarship efforts. Gala Event Chair Kathleen Sturkey said it was an even greater event this year and aims to continue to increase to funds raised for the scholarship program.”
