Guatemala is loving CAFTA

“Guatemala, a nation on Mexico’s southern border, is racing out of the gates in taking advantage of the Central American Free Trade Agreement that went into effect last year.

For evidence, you can look at the 2-month-old Pollo Campero restaurant at 3696 Fredericksburg Road. A Guatemala-based fast-food chain, Pollo Campero features fried chicken with a side of fried plantain. The expanding chain recently chose Dallas for its U.S. headquarters.”
