“The world’s top Latin music stars are raising funds for the victims of the massive earthquake that hit Peru last month.
Shakira, Daddy Yankee and others are asking people throughout Latin America, Spain and the U.S. to donate directly to the Red Cross through phone links, bypassing intermediaries and reducing administrative costs and the chance for fraud, according to the Panama-based ALAS Foundation, a non-profit that organized the campaign called ALAS Por Peru (Wings for Peru).”
