Knowledge is Power!

“Working as a Media journalist/professional couch potato comes with one great perk: access to the stars. And while I’ve had the opportunity to meet a wide variety of TV luminaries I had always hoped to speak with one of the biggest talents in entertainment, Rita Moreno. Well, the perks finally paid off and I was able to get together with her just as her new drama, CBS’ Cane, was nearing its fall premiere. Cane focuses on the Dallas-esque saga of a wealthy family in the lucrative rum business as they fight to keep their empire alive. Moreno plays family matriarch Amalia Duque.

Moreno, of course, is only one of nine performers historically to win an Academy Award, an Emmy (two, actually), a Tony and a Grammy. From West Side Story and The Ritz, to The Electric Company and Oz, the multifaceted Moreno is up for any challenge””including, it seems, talking to me.”
