The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio’s Institute for Health Promotion Research formed a new organization to fight childhood obesity among Latino children in America.

“The group is called Salud America! The National Latino Childhood Obesity Prevention Network and it will be funded by a five-year, $5.2 million grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. It will be based at the institute’s offices in San Antonio.”
