Irene Chavez was promoted from chief operating officer to chief executive officer of the 508-bed Providence Memorial Hospital.effective immediately; Sally A. Steffen will oversee the continued construction of the new 100-bed Sierra Providence Eastside Hospital, starting Sept. 10; and Edmundo Castaneda will lead the 351-bed Sierra Medical Center, starting Sept. 24. “
