“The Latin-American Medical Clinic is the passion of Dr. José Angel, 47. The doctor, who was born to Cuban refugees and moved to Iowa at age 3, opened the clinic three years ago to provide health care to the Latin-American community in the Des Moines area.

In that time, the clinic has grown to serve 2,000 Spanish-speaking patients. Angel hopes to add doctors as it continues to grow.”
