“As Margarita Chavez strolled through the Hispanic Heritage Festival sipping an Inca Kola, she felt right at home and yet realized that there was still much to learn.

“I’m really surprised by all the different cultures here today,” said the Yonkers woman, 26, who emigrated from El Salvador five years ago. “I had Peruvian chicken and I’m still looking for other kinds of food I can try.”
