Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer aide now adviser in all things Hispanic – Orlando Rolon
Tagged: Florida, Orlando, policePosted on: August 27th, 2007“Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer now has an official Hispanic adviser.
Orlando Rolon has been appointed Dyer’s adviser for Hispanic affairs, a job that includes identifying and dealing with issues of importance to the city’s Latin community. He’ll be creating an “advisory network” of city employees from various departments. He is also spearheading the city’s observance of Hispanic Heritage Month in September.
Rolon, a police lieutenant who was already serving as a special assistant to the mayor, had been the adviser in an unofficial capacity. It’s a similar job to the one Jose Fernandez had until he left his City Hall job this year.”
