“Latino students who break down barriers that exist in Florida and across the country must prepare to become the face of their community and pave the way as leaders of the next generation, said Emilio Gonzalez, director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
“There is no ceiling to what you can accomplish,” Gonzalez said, speaking Wednesday to more than 100 Latino scholarship recipients at Tampa’s University of South Florida. “It is part of the American dream, and you are living it tonight.”"
