Newsletter readers - Don't forget HispanicTIPS - Gracias, Tomás
“Goya Foods, the largest Hispanic-owned food company in the United States, has announced that it will be the title sponsor of the Phillies “Goya Latino Family Celebration” on Friday, Sept. 7, at Citizens Bank Park. The festive event - which pays tribute to Hispanic Heritage Month with various musical performances, foods with Latin flavor, and a special ticket discount - will take place before and during the 7:05 p.m. Philadelphia Phillies - Florida Marlins game. This is the sixth year the Philadelphia Phillies will host the celebration.
As part of the sponsorship, Goya will host a food collection for Philabundance, the Philadelphia regions food rescue organization. Fans attending the game that evening are asked to donate a Goya Food item at the Left Field, First Base or Third Base Gate. In turn, Goya will match each food donation. Goya has pledged that it will give a minimum of 5,000 pounds of food to Philabundance.”
