“The University of Texas at El Paso is among the top five Hispanic Serving Institutions receiving federal research dollars, according to data recently released by the National Science Foundation.
“As the nations only major research university serving a student population that is predominantly Mexican-American, UTEP has succeeded in building excellence in research programs while maintaining a strong commitment to student access,” UTEP President Diana Natalicio said.”
