“A sharply divided City Council on Monday rejected an attempt to repeal the citys controversial English-only resolution, despite pleas from residents that the measure was tearing the community apart.
A move to rescind the two-month-old resolution failed on a 2-3 vote, meaning English will remain the citys official language.”
