August 20th, 2007 – Peruvian singer songwriter Pepe Alva, well-known for blending the Andean and native sounds of Peru, with pop and rock, announced that it is working close with the Consulate of Peru in Miami, and the Paz y Amor Foundation, to help bring relief to the thousands of victims left by the earthquake occurred in the South American country.

One of the most popular Hispanic singer-songwriters in the US, PEPE ALVA, spent the last four months in Peru, the homeland where he chose to release his most anticipated third CD entitled “DEMOS” Let’s Give. The results couldn’t be better; with sold out shows and total media support. Additionally, last June 15th PEPE ALVA was surrounded by beautiful beauty pageants when he sang on the televised “Miss PerÚ Mundo 2007”.

The great news is that “DEMOS” will be released in the US on August 22nd by IKUNA MUSIC, a Miami based new indie label with offices also in Madrid, Spain. “This album represents everything I had learned on the past years, is a way to say thank you to those who believed in me all these years. I feel this is the best moment to release DEMOS. Each song shows the maturity I have reached as a musician as well as an individual”, said Pepe about the CD, of which he wrote all the songs, besides being the co-producer along with Pablo de la Loza.

But will be a week before the release when PEPE ALVA kicks off his promotional tour. The event is taking place at CIELO, in Coconut Grove, on Wednesday, August 22nd, at 8 PM, where he will perform his new songs, such as the promotional single “Huellas”, of which a video, directed by the talented directress Milcho, is on rotation on mun2, MTV and HTV.
