“Thousands of people took to the streets of Manhattan Sunday for the 25th annual Dominican Parade.

The sights and sounds of Dominican culture are on full display along Sixth Avenue for the parade. Those NY1 spoke with said its an important way for Dominicans to share their heritage.

“I’m excited just because I rep the Dominican Republic,” said parade attendee Sandra Tobar. “Thats where my mom is from, so I rep it to the fullest.” “
