Midwestern State University raises bilingual funding

“Two Midwestern State University professors were so determined to snag a lucrative federal grant to help finance bilingual education at MSU that they jumped into the grant writing process as soon as one was hired and before the other ones full-time position was official.

Dr. David Barbosa, who was hired at MSU in January, and Dr. Mary F.B. Garza, who worked at MSU as an adjunct professor and didnt come on board full-time until this summer, scurried to write the federal proposal and meet a February deadline.”
