Houston restaurateur launches production company – Michael CordÚa
Tagged: Houston, Nicaragua, Texas, TheaterPosted on: August 1st, 2007“Houston restaurateur Michael CordÚa hopes Latin artists can help his Artista restaurant serve more ceviche, crawfish tacos and other culinary creations.
For nearly two decades, Nicaraguan-born CordÚa has run successful Latin-style eateries, beginning with Churrascos and expanding his South American empire to include Américas, Amazón Grill and Artista.
But soon after opening Artista in 2003 inside the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, CordÚa saw his dinner business dip there every time the downtown theater went dark.”
