Univision set to meet with major record companies over music unit auction

The New York-based company best known for its radio and television network has been in talks with the major music companies and will begin meetings this week over the sale of its Univision Music Group assets, said the person, who requested anonymity because of the confidential nature of the auction process.
The recording companies are Britain’s EMI Music Group PLC, Warner Music Group Corp., Vivendi SAs Universal Music Group, and Sony BMG Music Entertainment, a joint venture of Sony Corp. and Bertelsmann AG.”
