“The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers SHPE has announced that global company Kimberly-Clark is the 2007 SHPE Employer of the Year, according to a survey of SHPE members. Members include engineers and technical professionals, as well as college students.
SHPE members voted Kimberly-Clark as the 2007 SHPE Employer of the Year based on their personal preferences as to which company would be the best to work for from an employee’s standpoint. Kimberly-Clark was also recognized by members as a company known for providing upward mobility and growth opportunities for Latinos. Other companies that were highly ranked based on upward mobility and growth opportunities were IBM Corporation, Procter & Gamble, Texas Instruments, Inc. and Verizon Communications, Inc. Kimberly-Clark, IBM Corporation and The Boeing Company were also chosen as three of the best organizations for recruitment practices and SHPE involvement.”
