“Luis Polar is editor of the weekly Spanish-language paper La Tribuna. Yesterday in Glenwood Springs, he recognized the severity of both recent crimes, but he also hoped that the police show as much sensitivity as they can in searching for the criminals.
“We do have a lot more Hispanics that are getting the short haircuts and the baggy pants and they kind of stand out and they are in groups,” he said. “So Im curious to see what police in the valley are going to do when they see a group of Hispanics that might match this description. Are they going to approach them, talk to them, ask them for IDs?” “
