“With these parents in mind, several departments at Western Washington University are translating their handouts into Spanish and looking for other ways to help Hispanic families through the enrollment process.
Western has admitted 313 Hispanic students for the upcoming academic year, up from 237 last year. The number of Hispanic students who applied to Western has more than doubled since 2001, from 225 to 462 this year.”
