“Pachecos Mega 101.1 FM debuted its Spanish-speaking format in late June. The 4,900-watt station broadcasts from the second floor of Foundry Square in downtown Redding.

Listener response has been encouraging, said Leo Merino, who does a 6 to 9 a.m. weekday music and talk show. Merino discusses health issues and other matters facing Hispanics in Shasta County.”
