“In the wake of the real estate slump, a Southwest Florida engineering company is thinking outside the box ”” and outside the borders of the United States.
Bonita Springs-based Stafford Engineering will open the doors of a new office in downtown Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic, on Tuesday and begin offering architectural, engineering, real estate, construction management and business relocation services in the Caribbean Island country.
The opening will be the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s first ribbon-cutting outside of the United States, said Leonardo Garcia, the chamber’s president.”
