Tagged: Indiana, judge, studentPosted on: July 26th, 2007“Valparaiso University is hosting the first Hispanic Youth Leadership Academy for 45 Porter and Lake County high-school seniors. The conferences goal is to inspire young leaders to change the statistically dim future for Hispanic students.
“Dont wake up when youre 40 years old,” said Jesse Villalpando, Lake County Superior Court Judge and one of the academys speakers. “Now is the time to prepare yourself.”
Students attend two days of interactive lectures based on “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens” by Sean Covey.”
