“The McHenry County Latino Coalition, through a $7,000 donation from Fifth Third Bank in McHenry, developed the program with District 15 after learning that the school district would not fund summer school for the second year in a row, coalition Executive Director Carlos Acosta said. Heide said the district expected to reinstate summer school next year.

The three-week academy started Monday at Chauncey H. Duker School.”
