Hispanic Business Magazine Honors Liberty Power as the Fastest Growing Hispanic-Owned Company in the United States

“Liberty Power, the fastest growing, independent energy retailer focused on business consumers, today announced it has been named the number one company on the 2007 Hispanic Business 100 Fastest-Growing Companies® list, compiled annually by Hispanic Business Magazine. The top honor marks Liberty Power’s debut on the Top 100 Fastest Growing List, which ranks Hispanic companies on growth percentage over the last five years. Liberty Power took the top ranking by growing sales at a compounded rate of almost 250 percent a year since 2002 and the company’s workforce grew from six to now more than 80 people.

The ranking highlights Liberty Power’s rapid growth through 2006, which was driven by a focus on the customer, as well as delivering products and services traditionally reserved for only the largest customers to small- and medium-sized businesses. The company also saw rapid expansion into four new markets. With 11 new states licensed in 2007, the company is now positioned to continue its growth, by providing cost-efficient electricity to commercial enterprises in 15 of the 21 deregulated markets.
